***REVIEW***The pipe was well packaged for shipping, and the cumberland mouthpiece & silver ring were wrapped in plastic to protect their polished surfaces. As I look at this pipe, it is obvious to me that Larry's capacity for attention to detail is off the charts. The finish reminds me of an old Dunhill shell, but the blast is lighter on the shank, and gradually transitions to a deeper blast on the bowl. The edge of the silver ring that meets the mouthpiece is slightly smaller in diameter than on the side that meets the shank, resulting in a ring that precisely matches the profile of the pipe. The light and dark colors of the cumberland mouthpiece both perfectly match and beautifully contrast the color of the briar. The pipe feels balanced in the hand, is comfortable in the mouth, sits well, and is aesthetically perfect. Thank you, Larry, for creating this masterpiece. Gene in Washington State
Not sure what to call the shape, it reminds me of a Zulu so there you have it! This piece is cut from my well aged Italian briar and it blasted very well. It is very comfortable in the hand and also in the mouth. It sits and is in one of my favorite color combinations. . Hand cut Sand Cumberland mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid sterling silver fitment. Thank you very much for looking and your consideration of my work.
