Here is one of my Rhodesians in a large size and a slight bend. 2 ½ inches in diameter so plenty of wood to hold! I do not remember bending the mouthpiece on one of my Rhodesians in the past, but that doesn’t mean I have never done it, just do not remember. In any event, the slight bend on the billiards lately has been very popular so I thought I would try it on this Rhodesian and I am very pleased with the results. I really like the look with the bend and it adds comfort. This piece came out with a incredible blast as this 100 year old wood seems to blast very well. I calculated the age of the briar by the length of time I have had these blocks, the time the previous owner had the wood, which was over thirty years and the time it took to grow to the size of these blocks, I would not be afraid to say this wood started growth a hundred years ago. These blocks are huge and I can sometimes get two large pipes out of a block, probably three gp. 4 sized pieces. It takes a long time in the ground to get to this size!. Hand cut Golden Cumberland mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid sterling silver “Wide Rope” fitment. Thank you very much for looking and y our consideration of my work.
