It should be no question where my inspiration for this piece came from. The classic Dunhill 20 that I am so fond of. I wanted to give it a shot and while I missed a few things in the original that is OK and what pipe making is all about. I do like this piece and I sure hope it doesn’t sit around too long. While the blast came out beautiful for me, this piece was not about the blast but the shape. The top is actually some pretty nice birds eye but I decided to not polish off too much of the stain the keep the deep burgundy color. It is a tough color to come up with and this took three different colors and several application techniques. It is still not that Dunhill color but I like it. Of course it is a firm sitter and feels great in the mouth. Hand cut traditional Cumberland mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid Sterling Silver “Rope” fitment. Thank you very much for looking.
