Here is one of my apples in my rusticated/blasted finish. This technique gives the piece a very craggy coral like appearance. I have not done this style in quite some time. I used to do it often but recently a good friend asked me if I ever rusticated a piece then blasted it. I told him as a matter of fact, yes but not for some time. So I thought this a good reason to do it again. What I like about this technique is they always seem a bit different from one pipe to the next. This piece came out in a beautiful natural finish. As I mentioned in the past, this is my favorite finish because of how they color over time. It is a beautiful piece, slightly rounded top, comfortable fish tail mouthpiece and it is a sitter. Hand cut “Midnight” Cumberland mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid Sterling Silver “Rope” fitment. Thank you very much for looking.
