This Poker has to be one of my favorite shapes, and this one really grabs me. The reason I probably like it so much is the sides. I normally do not dish in the sides but it is a nice touch that I really like. I smoke a poker probably every day and it does not have the dished in sides. I regret not having done it to the one I smoke but I will one day have one! I got very lucky with the smooth top and I think the mouthpiece blends well with the overall look. I decided to use a piece of antique Bakelite for the mouthpiece and this material never disappoints. I believe this rod stock is from the 1950’s and my supply is dwindling. I am sorry the photos are not very good on the Bakelite, one day I hope to have the photography on this material figured out. It is a beautiful creamy yellow color with white swirls.Pipe #1600 in the special gallery will give you a better idea of the color of the mouthpiece. Hand cut Bakelite mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid Sterling Silver “Hammer Textured”fitment. Thank you very much for looking.
