A nice handful! This piece is one of my full bent Dublin sitters but in a four sided panel. The pipe came out with a very craggy, deep blast and with a natural Plateau top to match. A nice sized pipe and it has a very comfortable mouthpiece. Hand cut Cumberland mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon, hand made solid sterling silver “Rope” fitment. Thank you very much for looking.
**REVIEW**Thanks, Larry. The pipe just arrived. The shaping and grain definition are strikingly crisp and tight on this one. I haven't fired it up yet but the draw is as effortless as ever. It's a really nice, neat, satisfyingly balanced and interesting shape. The tall, panelled bowl works really well with the full-bent shank and stem, and your choice of stain, stem material and silver band are just right. I am proud, indeed, to own it. I will smoke it tonight, but I couldn't wait to tell you how much I like it.
I can't imagine the work that must go into making a pipe like this - all the careful shaping to take best advantage of the grain, the detailed blasting, the beautiful silverwork, the sculpted button and the deep polish on the stem. It is all worth it, though, and noticed. As you predicted (and, actually, with all of your pipes) I was even more delighted when I unwrapped it and unwound the cling-film from the stem. How many other pipe makers never, ever disappoint when you see each pipe up close and examine every detail? As much as I have learned to expect this quality in a Roush pipe, I am still pleasantly surprised every time I hold a new one.
