Here is a really interesting little freehand, I don’t know what else to call it but I really love this piece. It will be a very nice pipe for those stronger tobaccos as the chamber is a size that accommodates flakes and stout Latakia blends very well. The chamber is .780 diameter and a little over an inch deep. This piece came out with and incredible blast and even the bottom of the bowl has a wonderful blast! I used some of my Tortoise shell Bakelite on this piece. I have a VERY limited supply of this material. This is by far my favorite Bakelite, it is truly beautiful and you can get lost staring into the beauty of the mouthpiece. I normally do not make a mouthpiece where you can see the tennon, however, many collectors said they do not mind so I thought I would try it and I must say it is not bad at all. I even think it adds to the uniqueness of the material. It is almost like looking into a piece of amber with all its variations. This pipe is in my Cera Tinto finish, Wax only. This piece is rusticated then sand blasted which results in a incredibly deep, craggy, almost coral like appearance. The rustication along with the rings from blasting it truly is an interesting finish to admire. Hand cut Bakelite mouthpiece w/Delrin tennon. Hand made solid sterling silver fitment. Graded L1 @ $663.00 USA SHIPPING INCLUDED (L1@650+ 13.00 S&I) Please e-mail me with any questions and thank you for looking.
