My first designs were simple crosses fabricated from Sterling Silver however, I knew I had to make a change and design a Crucifix. Aware that there were many beautiful ready made Crucifix’s available, I longed for a more personal design which left me in a quandary. Inspiration was from our beautiful St. Rose of Lima Parish Church in our home town of Perrysburg Ohio. Ground was broke for our current Church in 1889. I was moved to use our Parish Crucifix for the inspiration in my Rosary. With permission of our Parish Priest I photographed the Crucifix and sent the images to a designer. We worked together for many hours designing the Crucifix. I designed a Trillion for the centerpiece, representing the Holy Trinity with a crown of thorns honoring our Lords Passion. It took six months from photography to sterling silver casting in hand. Many hours of bending wire, assembling and polishing go into every hand made Rosary. I bend all the eyes by hand and I do not buy anything in a kit form. I use thick 18 gauge wire and it is .040 in diameter. The only way you will get a Rosary with this Crucifix and Centerpiece is on a Roush Rosary. Each piece has over 6 ½ feet of hand bent Sterling Silver wire and is composed of 246 individual pieces. This number may vary by design of new pieces. All the metal on my Rosaries is solid Sterling Silver, including the small end cap beads that cover the holes in the beads. The Length is approximately 24 inches, the Crucifix measures 2.450 X 1.600 and is .150 thick at the ends and the “beam” of the cross is .280 wide and .125 thick and it weighs over 21 grams. The center piece is .230 thick .900 wide and weighs over 8 grams. Once you see this Rosary in your hand I believe you will agree that it is nothing like you have seen before, it is a lifetime Rosary. This Piece has genuine Black Onyx 8mm Hail Mary beads and 8mm Denim Lapis Our Father beads with silver end caps on the our Father beads. It has an extra “S” link between the Our Father beads.
