SOLID Sterling silver pocket tamper. I have had many requests to make a larger “desk” model of my new tamper. These are great and I have found in the past I always reach for this one. It is too large to carry in the pocket but as a desk or office tamper it is wonderful. It would also be great to carry in a pipe bag. These work great in the taller pipes such as stacks. It is hand hammered of heavy gauge (over 1/8” Dia.)solid sterling silver and incorporated my angled head design that tamps the tobacco from the edge of the bowl and leaves the ash a bit higher in the center This design works wonderful and I have had many complements on the design. I just spin the tamper in my fingers as I let the front part of the tamper follow the chamber walls to evenly tamp the whole bowl. I am sure you will find it to be one of the best functioning tampers you have ever used. These tampers work great and it is all I use in the shop! This DOES NOT include a leather pouch as they are tool long to fit but I am including a silver polishing cloth and shipping to USA.. This is a stock photo, these are totally hand made so the one you receive may very slightly. Hand made from solid Sterling Silver 6 gauge wire (.160 dia after working) then hammer forged for strength and rigidity, and I left the hammer marks to give it a very antique look. I let it work harden and did not anneal it so as to leave it very ridged, it will not bend under normal use. Each tamper is stamped “ROUSH” “Sterling” The length is 4.750 and the head is approximately .500 X .400. Please remember these are hand made so dimensions will vary.
